Aimee’s Story
Aimee’s WINE HOUSE ltd was first established in December 2009.
With our Backwell store 45 Rodney Road opening, and then eight months later our 2nd store ,65 Stoke Hill Bristol was established in August 2010.
Both stores have long been established as a ‘Wine merchant’ destination to purchase all things associated with booze.
Come 2022 we are finally dipping our toes into the online platform.
Aimee was a previously a manager for a large chain of off-licenses and her experience spans 18years.
At the age of twenty-three the opportunity arose to open as a totally independent wine merchant with the help from family.
We have been fortunate to celebrate running for now over ten years.
Aimee has worked relentlessly putting her own personal stamp on all the products being offered to all our customers.
Aiming to offer great single bottle prices, to those extra special one off bottle deals that she comes across.
Aimee’s is run by a mix of family members (Husband Gavin, Mum Dawn) and other sales staff.
Aimee with an advanced WSET knowledge in wines, and each staff member, also having their own passion in what they like to enjoy drinking personally, offering a fun and relaxing atmosphere with a friendly, knowledgeable and helpful team.
We also have the addition of our canine helper Cassey.
Cassey has top class customer meeting and greeting skills, especially if you bring her a little treat.
And Until Oct 2022 Vinnie who was simply known as the ‘Harry potter dog’ and our committed guardian.
Our Stoke Bishop store even has a little added extra behind the scenes, our ‘Aimee’s BREW’ is Bristol’s smallest microbrewery. Solely sold in our two stores, we hand craft from brew to bottle since 2016.

Qualifications
Aimee has completed her WSET advance wine training, passing on some of her knowledge to staff. Most of Aimee’s WINE HOUSE Ltd staff are all wine drinking enthusiasts and through trying a range of wines we offer are able to recommend a great wine for and of your needed.
Whether it be for a gift or to go with a particular meal or occasion. We really do like it when customers feel the need to tell us that our wine choice was really well received and enjoyed = a good job done!

Community
I really enjoy the interaction with customers’. Yes we really do! it is one of the best! parts of our daily life here at Aimee’s. We like to think that our ability to mix with all our customers keeps them coming back.
We pride ourselves on being the most friendliest, most helpful store. Even being known to do a vegetable co-operative during the summer months swopping excess homegrown produce……..
Our local parcel pick up and drop off service really does supply a local support and convivence, also working with lots of local charities to offer support for their events.
Past Events
We frequently run a variety of tasting and sampling events throughout the year. Our annual December wine tasting is a ‘must attend’ event by all locals and beyond. Very informal 100 guests get to meet the suppliers and sample over 35 wines.
We also run a number of ‘GIN’ tastings in our private garden for numbers of 20 guests, (these can also be requested on a private basis) gin, tonic, accompanying garnishes and usually a barbeque! Great idea for summer work parties!
Supplier product instore tastings- a variety of suppliers like to come into store on a Friday evening and showcase their products along with meet the customers, a great change to try something new.
All our events are listed on our Facebook page, or why not join our monthly newsletter?
